Process and repurpose green waste and excavation material from construction, landscaping, and civil works projects across Canberra and surrounding areas.
Our approach:
At the National Arboretum, all pine trees removed from the site were shredded to a specific size for use as mulch around new plantings.
At a civil site in Bonner, approximately 3,000m³ of trees were shredded and processed, with the finished product taken to one of our sites for further processing into budget mulch.
Excavated limestone from Braddon was processed at our site and repurposed for construction, landscaping projects, and as feature pieces in public buildings.
These projects demonstrate our wider approach: green waste and excavated material is either delivered to our recycling depots or processed onsite, shredded, screened, and blended with compost or soil amendments to meet project specifications.
We also relocate suitable rock and soil to sites where it can be reused, to reduce the need for imported material and minimise environmental impact. All incoming material is carefully monitored to avoid contamination and ensure quality and consistency.

Through projects such as the Arboretum, Bonner and Braddon, we have a demonstrated ability to turn green waste and excavation material into valuable resources while minimising landfill.
Nearly all material brought into our recycling depots is processed and repurposed, supporting the ACT NoWaste Strategy and reducing the environmental footprint of construction and landscaping projects.
